The mica will give you a deep pinkish/red colour that is suitable for a watermelon color. Blend the mica directly into soap with a whisk or stick blender. Color stays true. Mixed with Lake Red it will give you a color closer to "true red" however it may bleed or mix with Neon HIgh Voltage Red and a little red oxide to achieve "True Red".
for Christmas Red, you can try 3:1 Magic Red to Lake Red. Lake colors bleed and fade though, so be prepared for this. You could even do 1:1 if you know you might be using your soap up soon.
The mica gives a beautiful pearlized look in mineral make-up, clear or translucent Melt & Pour soaps and white cosmetic bases such as lotion, creams and body butter. The suspended mica gives a shimmering finish. European Cosmetic & FDA approved, safe to use for eyes, face, nails and lips.
