Applications: Bentonite Clay used for facial masks, mud masks, body wraps, moisturizers, deodorants, sunscreens, and makeup. Due to its swelling and colloidal properties, it adds thickness and body to emulsions while helping to disperse ingredients such as colorants. Added to water-based formulations, Bentonite Clay helps prevents watery or runny consistencies. It is also added to powder formulations to prevent cakiness or boost skin coverage (in the case of makeup). On its own, the clay can be used as a bath powder to soothe and rejuvenate the skin.
