Great class! Di was very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. "Would you recommend this class to others?" The class was very informative and interesting. I've never been to a soap making class before so I didn't know what to expect. However, I would definitely do it again.

I took the cold process soap making class with Di a few years back and was SUPER excited to be able to take her lotion making class this past weekend. Once again learned LOTS, had fun while doing it and got to take home some amazing lotion. I also picked up one of her lotion making kits to try it on my own. Thanks Di for being such a great teacher in such a relaxed and fun atmosphere!

I had an absolute blast at the lotion making class and am looking forward to the soap class in October! My classmates were terrific and we all went home with one large and one medium pot of lotion. I highly recommend the class.

This class is so fun! It's a good secondary class to take after you have taken the cold process. The pace is a bit faster and you don't go into details and the reasoning for certain steps as much as in cold process. My soap turned out great! So pretty.
Although I haven't used it yet, I am very pleased with the construction of this custom wood mold. I also like the fact it adjusts for different quantities of soap batches. Thank you 😊
This kit is amazing! It has all the ingredients you need to make many batches of lotion, as well as the included instructions. They are very thorough, and include a few formula options for different types of lotions and creams, and even quantities for two different batch sizes, 100 gm and 400 gm. I made my first batch of lotion with the Lilac and Lily Fragrance Oil, and it smells divine. The lotion absorbs really nicely! Very well worth it, I highly recommend this kit, and thank you as well to Di who answered all of my questions along the way! I look forward to making more lotions with my kit!
What a great way to spend 3 hours. Di makes it easy to understand the process and assists every step of the way. Looking forward to attending more of her classes.
This fragrance oil smells amazing, however it accelerates trace. I was planning to pour my soap in order to create swirls, but I had to plop it into the mold. Regardless, I have a wonderful scented plopped soap😀.
Used it to fragrance my Cafe Latte CP soap. The fragrance did not misbehave. I added Titanium Dioxide because the fragrance had Vanillin and discounted my water by 10%. Fingers crossed my soap does not turn entirely brown. If it does🤷♀️, it will still smell wonderful.
I am glad I stumbled upon Wixy Soap as it is nearly impossible to find soap-making classes in Calgary (where you don't have to put together your own group)! It is located in Sherwood Park, which is about 3.5 hours north of Calgary but I didn't mind the drive. This was my first soap-making class with Di and I really enjoyed it! This class was a fairly small group so it was very casual and hands-on. Di made the process very easy to follow and there was some good instruction on how to create our own soap formulas. Located in her home studio, what I loved was that all the materials were supplied and you didn't have to worry about the clean-up! My first batch didn't turn out too badly! I will be taking more classes with Di as I had such a positive experience!
I took the class to learn more about soap making and it was well worth it!! Di is a great instructor!! She shares so much information in the class as well as in her manual. I left feeling VERY confident to make more soap! I brought home a kit and made another batch the next weekend. I was very happy with how it turned out!
My husband bought the Cold Process Soap making class for me to do with with my daughters. We had a phenomenal time.
So great in fact, that I went back 2 weeks later to do the Advanced Swirl class. It was fabulous too!
Bought some extra supplies and we just made another batch at home this Family Day weekend.
Di was lovely a
ND made the environment comfortable ans fun to be in during this class. She answered all of my questions and was very supportive e during the process. It wasn't awkward at all and I am out of it with lovely soap!
If you want to make CP soap, lye must be used. Lye is caustic and can burn your skin if used incorrectly so, practice safety precautions at all times. In the CP soap classes, Di is very thorough about the use and safety of lye. I have been making CP soap for approximately 1 1/2 years and there has been no safety issues🤞. Respect, follow and practice safety always and you will have a beautiful relationship with lye and make marvelous bars of soap😊.
